Last week, Continuous Country KB101 was named the National Small Market Radio Station of the Year at the National Association of Broadcasters Marconi Awards in New York City during the NAB Show in New York. The Marconi Awards are given to the most outstanding performers in the radio and podcast world nationwide. Although KB101 has won a record seven NAB Crystal Awards for outstanding community service, this is the first Marconi Award for the Hubbard Media That Connects Bemidji group of radio stations.
KB101’s record of community service, along with its coverage of last year’s storm and aftermath, and its daily record of music, entertainment, news and information were key factors in KB101’s award.
Earlier this year, KB101 won their 7th Crystal Award from the NAB, and was named a finalist for the NAB’s Service To America Award. And earlier this month in Hastings, KB101 earned the Minnesota Broadcasters Association’s first ever Power of Broadcasting Award.
